The Conservatives have gained another seat on Barwell Parish Council, as a result of yesterday’s by-election victory in the village’s Charnwood Ward.
Local resident Andrew Baines topped the poll with 171 votes in a closely fought contest and will now take his seat on Barwell Parish Council.
Andrew said, “I am delighted to have been elected to the Parish Council and I would like to thank local people for putting their faith in me. I care passionately about my local community and will do everything I am able to help bring improvements to our area”.
