Along with cross-party colleagues in the City and County, David Tredinnick MP has written to the Secretary of State for Health and also the head of NHS England in support of the Children’s Heart Centre at Glenfield Hospital.
The public consultation on the future of children’s heart surgery at Glenfield ends today (17 July) and the group of MPs, including colleagues from around the East Midlands, have written seeking clarification on what will happen next.
David Tredinnick said, “Glenfield’s children’s heart centre provides excellent clinical outcomes for its vulnerable patients and any decisions about the centre’s future must reflect this fact. Members of Parliament in the area are united in making sure the voices of local people are heard on this important issue and Liz Kendall MP, in particular, has coordinated a great deal of the campaigning effort”.
