The Mayor of Hinckley & Bosworth Cllr Janice Richards joined residents of Barwell and Earl Shilton as they picked litter as part of the 'clean for the Queen' initiative.

Janice said, "It is wonderful to see the effort local people are making to help clean up their communities and keep the area free of litter.  The project to mark the Queen's 90th birthday is a fantastic initiative but a greater tribute to Her Majesty would be for people to stop dropping litter in the first place.  

"I can't thank enough the residents who are helping to clean up the Borough in the way.  They should be very proud of their efforts."
