Two hundred years on from the pivotal event in world history, Mayor of Hinckley & Bosworth Cllr Janice Richards and David Tredinnick MP today took part in the service to mark the unveiling of a memorial to the six men from Earl Shilton who fought in the Battle of Waterloo.  

A special service of thanksgiving at St Jude & St Simon Parish Church, Earl Shilton was followed by the unveiling of a granite memorial bearing the names of the local six men.
