Dr Luke Evans, Member of Parliament for Hinckley and Bosworth, said "On behalf of our community it is my honour to pay tribute to the brave members of the Armed Forces and service personnel who sacrificed their tomorrows for our today.

"Over the course of Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day I visited several areas in Hinckley and Bosworth, including Hinckley, Barwell and Earl Shilton, to pay my respects.

"Thank you to the children from The Market Bosworth School and a representative from North West Leicestershire for laying wreaths on my behalf at the remembrance services in Market Bosworth and Coalville. Thank you also to everyone across our area who organise these events and who come out year on year to honour the memory of our fallen. 

"My thoughts are with everyone across Hinckley and Bosworth and North West Leicestershire who is thinking of family, friends and loved ones who served, and my best wishes are with serving members of our Armed Forces."
