Despite forecasts of rain it stayed dry and mostly sunny for the Chairman’s Barbecue as around 70 members of Bosworth Conservative Association gathered in Burbage this afternoon (Sunday 23 July).
Chairman Peter Bedford welcomed guest speaker Lee Rowley, the newly elected MP for North East Derbyshire, and Bosworth’s MP David Tredinnick who saw his majority dramatically increased on 8th June, almost 30 years to the day after he first won the seat.
Peter said, “It was interesting to hear of Lee Rowley’s experiences in taking a seat off a long-serving high profile Labour MP, and as the local Party Chairman I was grateful for the opportunity to address the members present and thank them for all their help in the highly successful election campaigning here in Bosworth”.
