Another Community Clean Up event has been held at Burbage Common with Cllr Jan Kirby and volunteers picking up litter throughout the popular recreation area.

Jan, Borough Councillor for Hinckley's De Montfort ward, was joined by Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council Leader Mike Hall, local businessman Andrew Churchill and a host of helpers, some of them appropriately dressed for the Halloween day initiative.  

Jan says, "This was a fun way of doing some serious cleaning up of Burbage Common, which is one of our area's most valuable community assets. I would like to thank everyone who assisted in organising the event and all the people who came along to help clean up the Common.   

"I only wish we could be as successful in persuading the people who drop the litter not to do it the first place."
