David Tredinnick has visited the Air Ambulance shop in Hinckley.
The Bosworth MP thanked staff at the Castle Street shop for their fundraising which helps keep the emergency helicopters flying in Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Rutland.
The Air Ambulance receives no tax-payer funding and with each call-out costing £1,700, the service relies on the hard work of volunteers.
David said, "The Air Ambulance provides a vital service that has saved numerous lives locally and it was a great pleasure to call in at the Hinckley store and meet some of the people who work so hard to raise the funds to keep the helicopters flying. Quite simply, the Air Ambulance is often the difference between life and death and I am grateful to all the volunteers who give up their time to ensure the service continues."
