David Tredinnick, MP for Bosworth, has welcomed new investment of up to £7.035 million, which will deliver the expansion of local service provision, including cancer screening and out of hours urgent care.
David Tredinnick said: “I am delighted with this significant new funding for the Hinckley & Bosworth Community Health Services as part of the Government’s Long Term Plan for the NHS.
“I strongly support our NHS and want to help it to be the best it can be. Today’s investment shows the Government’s support for health services in our area.”
Matt Hancock MP, Secretary of State for Health & Social Care, said: “This is part of £1bn extra capital funding being announced across England. It comes on top of the £20.5bn per year extra funding for the NHS over the next five years - the longest and largest funding settlement in the NHS’s history. The investment is part of the wider plan to provide better services for patients, integrate care better and renew aging facilitates.
“The increased funding and the Long Term Plan demonstrates our abiding commitment to the NHS so the NHS can be there for all of us, free at the point of use, long into the future.”
