Dr Luke Evans, Member of Parliament for Bosworth, welcomes investment at Trinity Marina in Hinckley, as he visits the site to see improved facilities first-hand.
During the visit Dr Evans met with staff at the Trinity Marina site to discuss the experiences of constituents who live on or use the berths for a sustained period. Also present at the meeting was Steve de Polo, the Chief Executive of Aquavista which owns and operates 28 marinas nationwide, including Trinity Marina in Hinckley.
The local MP was given a tour of the Marina and the improved facilities following investment of more than £100,000 at the site.
The Trinity Marina and Aquavista team have put in place a new external customer area, state of the art laundry facilities, an improved office and social space for customers as well as enhancements to communal areas.
Dr Luke Evans, Member of Parliament for Bosworth, said: “It was a real pleasure to visit Trinity Marina in Hinckley and see how Aquavista’s significant investment in our area has improved facilities.
“Their improvements to communal spaces will ensure the site benefits residents and visitors for years to come.
“I’m grateful to Steve and the team for taking the time to show me around and discuss the cost of living support available to residents. The provision of energy support to off-grid customers is high on the Government’s priority list. It’s vital that we ensure the system which delivers this support to customers such as the residents at Trinity Marina, is robust and effective.”
Steve de Polo, Chief Executive of Aquavista, operator of the Trinity Marina site in Hinckley, said: “I was delighted to welcome Luke to Trinity Marina to meet our waterside crew and to show him our recent improvements to customer facilities.
“During his visit, we also discussed ways in which the Government can support non-domestic energy users like the hundreds of residential customers across Aquavista’s network, including at Trinity.
“I welcomed Luke’s commitment to ensure our residents’ voices are raised in Parliament and to provide an update as soon as possible on how the £400 Energy Bills Support Scheme will be administered to customers living off-grid.”
