Dr Luke Evans, Member of Parliament for Bosworth, said “Congratulations to Rupert Matthews on being re-elected to serve our area as Police and Crime Commissioner.

“Rupert and the entire Leicestershire Police team have worked hard to ensure a rural area like Hinckley and Bosworth is not ignored.

“Over the last four years we’ve seen the Force rated ‘Outstanding’ on three counts (including preventing crime!), overall crime DOWN 4.4.% across Leicestershire and the formation of the fantastic Leicestershire & Rutland Rural Policing Team who have recovered over £1,300,000 worth of stolen equipment and worked hard to cut rural crime in our area by 24%.
